The purpose of the Habitat Protection Fund is to encourage and promote the conservation of New Zealand 's natural environment.

Background (Edit)

Funding is provided for local habitat protection groups working to protect areas of high conservation significance in their community.

In September 1999, World Wide Fund for Nature New Zealand was appointed by The Tindall Foundation as its Habitat Protection Fund Manager.

The purpose of the Habitat Protection Fund is to encourage and promote the conservation of New Zealand's natural environment.
